What's in the box
Make sure everything is here before you start
Inside your ArcAngel package, you will find the following items. Please ensure everything is present before you begin the setup process.
ArcAngel Safety Button
The main device
Wristband
For wearing the device on your wrist (you ordered black or white).
Metal Clip-on Holder
Attach to bags, belts, hats, or clothing for easy access.
Insert the button — Wristband
- 1. The back of each wristband has an opening for you to insert the button.
- 2. The wristband is made of tough elastic rubber, so don't be afraid to stretch the material to fully insert the button.
- 3. Once the button is inserted, ensure that the rubber flap, holding it securely inside, is fully exposed along the bottom of the button and holding it in tightly.
- 4. Now you can press the button and feel the tactile response so you can feel that the button has been pressed.
Insert the button — Metal Clip
- 1. The metal clip is strong and tight, so you may have to work the button in.
- 2. It will fit snug inside once the button is centered inside the opening.
- 3. When switching your button between the wristband or metal clip, you may accidentally press the button. Don't worry, you can easily cancel any accidental press. You'll learn how to cancel accidental alerts in Section 13.

How alerts work
Text & email alerts — exactly how your contacts get them
Each approved contact gets both a text and an email with your live GPS location.
Each approved contact receives a text with a live GPS link
- Tap the link to see live GPS location of the user.
- Tracking continues for up to 24 hours or until the alert is cancelled.
- Texts come from a +1 (863) area-code number — save it as "ArcAngel Alert".
Privacy first
Location tracking — set it to "Always"
On your PHONE settings, under Apps, ensure that Centarc Global App, for location, is set to Always. Within the App, go to Settings → Alert Settings, to ensure that the alerts you need are enabled.
Send an alert from inside the app
Don't have your button? Press the purple alarm button in the bottom center of the app home screen, Then press either the silent or loud alert icons for that alert you want. The alert will function the same as pressing the ArcAngel button.
How to cancel an alert
Make it yours
Customize alerts, geofences, and check-ins
Tailor ArcAngel to your routine — from a quick "I'm home" to a full emergency.
Custom alert messages
To customize alerts, go to Settings → Alert messages. Then edit the template.
- • You can have one alert message for the single press and a different message for the double press.
- • Alerts can be customized for routines or emergencies.
- • For example, a child could have a single press to tell his mom he's off the bus and walking home. His double press could be an urgent situation, and he needs to be picked up.
- • Alerts can be for medical emergencies, a ride home, or to call 911.
- • You can add your name and customize from our templates (up to 250 characters) for both one-press (silent) and two-press (audible) alerts.
Recognize the alert number
Your alert text messages come from an 863 area code. Add this number to Your phone contacts as ArcAngel Alert, so you'll always immediately recognize an alert when it comes in!
Set a Geofence
You can also add a Geofence.
- • Give the geofence location a name and set the diameter range around the building/location.
- • Geofence will send an alert if the user leaves the perimeter while wearing ArcAngel.
- • Also, if the button is left inside the geofence area, and the person leaves the area with their phone, the alert will still be sent, and vice versa.
timed check-in
You can also add a timed check-in.
- • The timed check-in will send an alert if the user has not "checked in" or returned from a potentially dangerous location or area.
- • Set the time by scrolling the hours and minutes.
- • Then choose quite or loud alert and press start.

Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for common questions
Tap any issue to expand the solution. Still stuck? Skip to the support section.
Ensure Bluetooth is ON and hold the button close to the phone for a full 10 seconds. Do NOT pair your button at the same time and in the same room as someone else.
Check the app home screen and devices screen to see if your device is connected. If not, check Bluetooth and reconnect. Did your contacts get the email alert but not the text alert? They still need to approve consent. If a stale device is listed on the devices page, deselect it and pair your button again.
Ask them to check spam/junk for the "Centarc Global Consent" email and tap the consent button.
Confirm at least one contact has approved consent. They will receive email alerts but need to consent to receive text alerts.
It may take time for the app to sync with your phone contacts. Try again in 10–20 minutes.
Check both your phone and app settings to ensure tracking is set to "Always Allowed."
LED light indications
The tiny LED on the front of the button gives you status info. Pulse = slow fade-in/out. Blink = short blink.
-
2× red pulse
Brand-new button — no pairing exists yet.
→ Ensure Bluetooth is on and try to pair again.
-
2× yellow pulse
Trying to connect to a previously paired device.
→ Open the app, deselect the paired device, and try pairing again.
-
1× green blink
Button event delivered. All is good.
→ Nothing — you're good to go.
-
1× green blink + 2× red blink
Event delivered, but battery is running low.
→ Pick up a CR2032 battery from any grocery or drug store.
-
3× red blinks
Button booted — likely low or glitchy battery contact.
→ Check battery seating, or replace with a fresh CR2032.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the things people ask us most.
The ArcAngel uses a common CR2032 battery, easy to find at any grocery or drug store. It can last up to 3 years depending on usage. When the battery is low, you'll see 2 or 3 red blinks of the LED on the face of the button. To replace it, turn the button over, find the small indentation on the edge, and pry open the base.
It is water-resistant (IP67), meaning it handles splashes, rain, or perspiration. Do not submerge it — that will short it out and void the warranty.
ArcAngel uses LR-LE (Long-range, low-energy) Bluetooth and reaches up to 50 meters in open areas. Walls and obstacles reduce this range. For best performance, keep your phone on or near you.
ArcAngel needs an active Bluetooth connection to your phone to send alerts. If your phone is off, dead, or has no signal, the alert can't be sent immediately — but it will be delivered as soon as your phone reconnects. Keep your phone charged and nearby.
First, ensure Bluetooth is on. Second, do you have more than one ArcAngel button? It may be paired with another phone. If you only have one button: close and reopen the app, toggle Bluetooth off and on, and hold the button close to the phone for a full 10 seconds. If it still won't pair, restart your phone and try again — or email sales@centarcglobal.com.
Yes — but only ONE button at a time can be active and send alerts. To switch buttons, open your app, select the device you want, and the button and app will pair automatically.
Go to the Contacts tab in the app to toggle, add, or remove contacts at any time. Remember to add new contacts to your phone first — and new contacts will need to approve consent before they can receive alerts.
No problem — the app gives you a 10-second countdown to cancel any alert. Tap "Tap to Cancel" in the app, tap the home-screen notification, or hold the button down for 3 seconds. You can also cancel the alert at any time after it's sent.
Yes. Your location is shared only with your designated emergency contacts, and only when you activate an alert. Centarc Global uses industry-standard encryption. We do not sell or share your personal information.
